hey everyone! jaystepher here today with a collection video update. here is half of my collection in this closet. the other half is on the other side of this door. i will show that in a bit. so let's take a look at some of the various sterilite containers that holds some of the elements. on the top, i have some sets that i have not open up yet. plenty of fun awaiting for me.
the top drawer i just have some spare elements. stuff that i can't put in smaller drawers. second drawer i have mainly technic elements. this drawer have a bunch of 1-by plates of various sizes. i didn't sort these out by color, but i did sort them out by 1-bys. the second drawer down.... this drawer contains 2-by plates of various sizes. i still need to go through this a bit.
let's look at this drawer. yes it is full of 4-by plates. lots of colors. these always come in handy. now look at the bottom drawer. six and 8-by plates. i don't have too many of these. so i just stuffed them both in one drawer. here we have the larger sterilite.
of course as you can see, it's bigger plates. i have some of my base plates stored in here. this is not the best way to store them, but it works. se second drawer has miscellaneous elements. pieces that i still need to go through. it's a lot of elements. i have lots of work awaiting for me. in the bottom drawer is 1-by bricks.
all different colors and sizes. this does come in handy, but i'm i have to sort these out a bit to pull out all the 1-bys. like 1 by 1s and 1 by 2s. maybe the corner bricks need to be pulled as well. i'll save that for another job. on this side i have some various bricks, wheels, and minifigures. and containers up here, full of accessories and 2-by bricks.
so let's have a closer look at those. here on the far left, i have a vast assortment of column bricks like 1 by 2 by 5s, and 2 by 2 by 3s. lots of elements. i kept these separate. because when i dig through the bin, i think this is a 2 by 2 brick. only to find out that it's one of thesecolumns things.
so i keep those separate. in the middle, lots of tires! lots and lots of tires. i'm not sure how many tires there are, but i'm taking it i have enough to possibly start a tire shop. and on the far right, i have a box full of various minifigures. i need to go through those a bit more. not sure what i'm going to do with them yet. maybe make some sig-figs.
and the box at the bottom is full of 2-by bricks. plenty of 2-by bricks in every color. these always come in handy when building large items. not a whole lot, but it is a lot for me. medium azure, lime green, and bright yellow. too many colors to name.
now let's have a look at the various minifigure accessories. i have some spare heads, torsos, legs, some whole minifigures. plenty of shag hair pieces. a skeleton. looks like he's been in here for a while. hats, beanies, and helmets.
other accessories. some hair pieces. i still need to go through this a bit more. it's still a bit difficult to find everything. so that means more vlogs in the future. another container. let's have a look inside this one. it is mainly full of food elements. i do have some buckets,
dishes, pretzels, and some croissants. plates, pots and pans, milk cartons. a lot of apples. too many things to name. i do have lots of turkeys.
i think there is nine turkeys in total. not really sure. it's like a little mini grocery store. and finally the last container is full of various minifigure accessories. i have a few small spheres. some guns. skis. plenty of surfboards for jay the surfer. some tools.
more guns. books brooms. plenty of things to name. i so need to organize this a bit more, but it is an improvement compared to the last minifigure accessories box. on the other side of the closet, i have sorted lego. it goes all the way up to there.
not the best way to store stack-ons, so let's have a closer look. in this sterilite container, i have plenty of roof tiles already sorted. here's the top drawer. it's full of bright red 20-degree slope roof tiles. i still need to stock up on those the second drawer is 45-degree slope bright red roof tiles.
this is pretty full. now the third drawer is full of dark red 20-degree slope roof tiles. i have been collecting these now for a while. i need them for another house project. so i'm still working on those. now this drawer is an odd ball. i actually have power functions and mindstorms, parts, and stuff. i keep that separate.
i know it doesn't belong there. that was the only place i can put it. and in the bottom drawer, is full of various roof bricks. take a closer look. various sizes, shapes, and colors. i didn't sort any of this. i didn't have enough to sort them in separate drawers. i thinking maybe the next color will beblack.
haven't quite made that up yet. maybe get some more dark blue. lots and lots of slopes. you can never not have enough slopes. for some odd reason, this part and flat tiles are the two pieces i run out of the most. so let's take a look at the flat tiles! now let's have a look at my favorite part of the collection.
flat tiles! yes, this is mainly full of flat tiles. stack-on to the left is full of 1 by 1s, 1 by 2s, 2 by 2s, and 2 by 4 flat tiles. here we have the bright pink, new dark red, bright red,
orange, yellow, lime green, green, light blue, regular bright blue, dark blue, and here we have brown, dark tan, light tan,
white, black, medium azure, light grey, dark grey, some nice purple. i believe this is magenta or violet. i have maybe dark pink. not sure what color that is. i have some transparent tiles at the bottom.
and of course, dark green. how i categorize them is this row and this row are 1 by 1s, the second row and the fifth row are 1 by 2s, and the last rows are 2 by 2s. some 2 by 4s do sneak in there. i'm starting to collect up the light bright orange. here's the azure. a nice array of color.
stack-on to the right has other various tiles. these are like 1 by 4s, 1 by 6s, and 1 by 8s. jumper plates. grills. the little cheese wedge slopes. studs. this is full of extra elements. not sure why that's in there.
palisade bricks. some dark grey tiles. large giant tiles. i need to get more of those. those would work good for a city. plenty of other tiles. and a bin full of transparent elements. i keep these separate so they don't get all scuffed up.
so yeah that is the tile collection. this is about 20 years to put this together. so that is a lot of time, but it's worth it. for some odd reason i always run out of tiles. so [laughs], i better stock up! yeah it's a bit overkill, but you never know. here's another color that's hard to get a hold of is dark blue. because i don't want to spin the whole time shooting the video on tiles,
so let's move on! now let's take a look at these stack-ons. this is not the best way to access the parts, but i am limited on storage at the moment. let's take a closer look at this stack-on. as you can see, it is full of various elements. let's take a closer look at some of the drawers. this one is full of drawers and cupboards. bricks with knobs.
angle bricks or eyelet bricks. 1 by 4 bricks with knobs. i like keeping these separate. they work good for making large brick walls. some angle plates. i have some trees. all kinds of other various parts. i have a whole drawer of skateboards. yes it is full of skateboards.
there's a drawer full of metallic elements. let's take a look at the brick separators. that's a lot of brick separators. but to be honest with you, i do lose those from time to time. don't ask me how. a lot of elements. this stack-on here is dead. it doesn't have nothing in it. now before i move to the next stack-on,
here's the instruction manuals. i do not advise storing your manuals like this. i have the bottom ones placed in a ziploc. it's ready to burst. i might want to get a container for that. let's take a look at this stack-on here on the left. it is full of various elements. i use the mailboxes for ovens. some more greenery.
i thought that was an empty drawer. it's full of leaf elements. turntables. flowers. plenty of other elements. i still need to do a bit more work on sorting these. i have a drawer full of animal figures. so yeah. the last part of my collection,
is the remaining four stack-ons. first thing we're going to notice is this little box off to the left. you all remember this. i decided to keep this box and the minifigure inside. and it's falling over. i have inverted slopes. curved slopes. a drawer of some belts. some of these are just full.
i can barely close them. that means i have to go through those even more. look at the slides and the boat. how did those get in here? yes i have a drawer full of friends figures. i'll save those for something special. i kept everything pretty much separated. oh look, wheelbarrows and hand trucks. alright!
some rails and fencing. elements for roll-up garage doors. i always got these confused with standard 1 by 2s. so i decided to pull those out and separate them. i'm also building up the collection for the profile bricks that look like brick. those always come in handy. this stack-on is full of doors and windows. so i have some transparent elements.
this drawer doesn't want to close. some windows with the arch. lots of doors. those will work good in a house. older style windows. these do bring back a lot of memories. they don't make windows with the shutter tabs anymore. lots of other windows. car doors.
bicycles and scooters. containers and garbage cans. and doors with the divided windows. now the red stack-ons are full of technic elements. my apologies about the glare. i'm still sorting out technic elements. i'm planning on building a large machine. so i keep everything organized. that is my collection.
it does flow over to the other side. it's not the best way to keep lego in a closet. but if you have guest over, you can hide your collection. so that is my lego collection of november 2014. thank you all for watching!
