alright! this is john kohler at “discountjuicers.com”. today we have an other exciting episode foryou and it’s always a good day here at discount juicers. well we’ve got a brand new juicer in forthe first unboxing and testing. and first thing that i want to let you guysknow is that this juicer, the all new kuvings whole slow juicer c7000 model, is now availableat “discountjuicers.com” several days before it’s available anywhere else, soif you want to get the brand new kuvings whole slow juicer, check out our website : “discountjuicers.com”.

in any case, in this episode we’re goingto go ahead and go over the all new kuvings whole slow juicer c7000 model. the original whole slow juicer was the b6000model, so when you’re buying a whole slow juicer make sure you know the model number, because after watching this episode you will want to ensure you get the all new 7000 model. all right? so this is what the box looks like and actuallyif you just look at the box, compare this to the box of the old 6000 model ; it looksfairly similar. except on the side it has a few new picturesbut because it details some of the parts that

are actually inside this box it says “simplifiedparts”. and this machine is simplified compared tothe previous model, with a little bit less nooks and crannies, and it’s been improveda lot. and actually they’ve taken some of my suggestionsinto consideration and now have made those a part of the juicer so i’m really gladthat i could play a role in helping to improve the juicing industry. let’s see here… oh and then the only other thing you’llnotice on the box, it says – you want to make sure it says – “c7000” on there.

now at present time only the silver modelis being released in the usa – so that’s the c7000s ; “s” means silver. kuvings may or may not release other coloursin the future and i have no idea about that so if you want one of these i definitely recommendyou guys get the silver one. i like the silver one most myself. anyways, over on this side it basically justshows the parts and how it’s assembled but i’m going to show you guys that personal. so i guess without further ado, let’s goahead and get opening this box. and so i’ve been waiting this juicer fora long time you know, the original whole slow

juicer it’s definitely a good seller. i mean it’s unique and different – ithas a large 3” wide feed chute and this is a patent that kuvings owns and there’sbeen some other companies actually ripping off and illegally making other 3” wide feedchute juicers. that’s actually infringing on the kuvingspatent. if you want to ask me about some of those,i’ll basically tell you – i’ve tested many of them and a lot of the ones that areinfringing on the patent are made in china. this juicer is actually made in korea (rightthere) where the slow juicer originated and you know, it’s a much higher quality.

and this is this original; all the knockoffs, they’re never going to be as good as the original. because i’ve been to the kuvings r&d (that’sthe research and development area of their headquarters) where they invest thousandsof dollars to ensure and test their machine so that they can up the bar and make it betterand improve it. you know, the principle of “can i?” : constant and never ending improvement, soi like that a lot. in the box there’s lot’s of stuff. let’s go ahead and i guess without furtherado, pull out the main unit here – this

is the top housing, the bowl and lets go aheadand pull out this motor housing. i might have to use two hands here. oh man, this is a heavy duty motor housing! this is one of the heaviest motor bases thati’ve seen and one of the things i like about kuvings and other manufacturers is they makethe motors themselves in house. i went to the facility where the motors aremade and wound one at a time inside the kuvings factory. it vertically integrated – they make alltheir own parts. and so, i do want to say that i like the designand look of the new c7000 model over the original

b6000 model. it seems a little bit more substantial, moresolid and kind of more fine lines. in addition they have an improved on and offrocker switch here, which i like. on the bottom of the machine, this is a ullisted of course, made in korea, 240w. and it has a quality controlled passed stickeron the bottom. so, let’s see here. all right, take off these little piece ofpaper things. and here is the main juicing bowl.

let’s go ahead and take out some of theother parts of the machine one by one to show you guys what else is in the box here. of course we have the all newly designed auger, this auger may look similar to the old one but i can clearly see the difference in shape. one of these upcoming episodes i’ll havea video comparing the 7000 to the old 6000 model. of course we have the top housing which looksfairly similar but yet a little bit different. of course we have red dots that you need toline up on the housing to get this to assemble properly.

and then next of course we’ve got the standardcatch containers – bpa free plastic, so i like that a lot. this is for the pulp catch container sideand the one with the handle and the little pour spout is to catch the juice. this is marked up to about 1000ml which isabout 33oz. all right, let’s see what else we got inthe box here. so, also with the c7000 model you will getthe blank and this is the blank for making frozen fruit sorbets in the kuvings wholeslow juicer. all right, let’s see what else we’ve got.

of course, just like the original whole slowjuicer it comes with not one, and not two but three cleaning brushes. so you have your standard cleaning brush thatyou can actually brush the screen out with. also you have a screen cleaning tool brushwith six built in brushes to make cleaning your screen easier as well as a round spoutbrush for getting in spouts which is really nice. i wish other manufacturers would include atleast a spout brush cause i actually use my kuvings spout brush from other juicers. all right, let’s see.

of course, you get the instruction manualswith the machine as well as the warranty. let’s talk about the warranty really quick: the warranty on the kuvings c7000 machine is ten years. now besides the warrant card you’re goingto get also the instruction manual and something that kuvings does that actually no other juicercompany does, which is really nice, is they give you a whole slow juicer recipe booklet. and i know this is important for many of youguys since many of you guys are maybe eating a standard american diet and eating junk foodand processed foods and you don’t know how to make a healthy juice recipe or what youcould do with the machine including making

the sorbets and stuff. so inside here they basically have reallysimple recipes with pictures. “how to make a celery juice : wash the ingredients, cut the apple and the celery, feed it into the slow juicer. how to make a kale juice…” with nice, really nice colour pictures sothis is a really nice value add. ‘cause if you were to buy a juicer and thenyou know you’d have to buy a juice recipe book, it could cost you like ten-fifteen bucksbut it’s all included with the kuvings whole slow juicer model c7000.

all right, last two parts that i’m reallyproud of that kuvings is now including based probably on my suggestions : number one, afunnel. you know, originally they told me : “john,we don’t need a funnel, we got a three inch wide feed chute”, but i’m like, man wheni’m putting in cherry tomatoes or cut up pieces of celery, it always falls out theside and it’s kind of a pain so now they have a funnel that you can just put on thetop. so that’s going to help direct food in ; thisis a very inexpensive part to make but it’s something that’s going to greatly increasethe convenience factor when you’re juicing so i really like that a lot.

and of course the final piece, another piecethat i’ve been urging all the juicer manufacturers to include, which some do and some don’t,is a nice strainer. and this is not just a strainer, this is abpa free strainer and i like that a lot. the other thing is that this is a custom designedstrainer – most companies include just a standard sieve with the machine but this isa custom designed sieve that actually goes on top of the juice collection cup. slips in just like that. so it sits right on top and you can keep it on and still pourthe juice out.

in addition, there’s a lot of surface area, you know, some companies just make a sieve with just the bottom screen but kuvings actuallythought ahead and they put holes on the sides as well so when the bottom gets full of pulp, the juice will still flow out the sides. so i really like that a lot. and actually, that’s the end of all thedifferent parts that comes with the kuvings whole slow juicer. so now i want to actually go over what makesthis new and different, what makes it better than the original b6000 – this is the c7000. so, cleaning brushes : they’re identical.

catch containers : they’re identical. new : the sieve. new : we got the funnel. pusher : i mean that looks about the sameto me. that being said, i do want to encourage youguys to not use your pusher when you’re using the kuvings whole slow juicer or anyother vertical single auger juicer for that matter. if you’re using your pusher, you’re probablypushing in produce too fast, which means you’re going to probably get some jamming, some clogging, and it’s not going to work as well.

the only reason, in my opinion, that you shoulduse the pusher is if you’ve got something jammed in there that’s actually not droppingthrough gravity feed in the machine and this is going to help get it ajar to get it looseso that then gravity can feed it. you know, with the vertical slow juicers, you don’t have to do the work, gravity does all the work to suck the produce in for youso you don’t have to sit there and push each and every bit in, like some of thoseeither high speed machines, or some off the other slow machines in the market. and that’s actually why i like the verticalslow juicers as my favourite style of juicer overall.

and maybe the kuvings whole slow juicer c7000will be my new favourite juicer but we won’t know until i start doing some juice off comparisons. so, next piece on the sorbet blank, basicallythis is a re-designed piece, so on this piece the major difference is that on most blankson vertical auger juicers it has an open bottom and the gasket is actually in the main drumor the bowl and kuvings has moved that out of the bowl and actually into the bottom ofthe screen to make cleaning a little bit easier. so i like that they did that. also this is an improved gasket so you’llget less leaking than the previous model, so i like that a lot.

in addition, on the bottom of the new sorbetblank it’s reinforced. so, the original kuvings whole slow juicer,i believe from memory, had one point that would actually lock the screen in place, orthe blank, and this one has more than one point to keep it more stable so that it actuallydoesn’t rock and roll inside there and stays more stable and more quiet when you’re juicing,so i do like that a lot. next to the cover, i mean the cover to melooks fairly similar, yeah, i mean it looks fairly similar. the design is a bit different cause it’sdeigned to look different i dunno, pretty much the same thing no major improvementsthere.

next let’s go ahead and pull out the auger. this is where everything changes. this auger is totally re-designed - the otherauger kind of was fat at the bottom then kind of got narrow at the top. this one if you look at it, it’s kind ofnarrow on the bottom, it gets wide in the middle and then at the top it’s kind ofmore narrow. in addition they’ve actually changed upthe ribbing on the auger to maybe help suck things in a little bit better. and the major improvement that i see, thati like a lot actually, is the bottom.

kuvings was one of the last major slow juicercompanies to change the bottom out to have a whole solid piece whereas now it actuallyis recessed. all other major manufacturers that make slowjuicers actually have a recessed bottom and this is actually for strain relief it letssome of the pulp actually flow up underneath so that you don’t get some of the backupissues that i have seen before and also in extreme instances pulp would get in underneaththe auger and actually would jack the auger up which would make your housing more difficultto take off because it jacked it up and it made everything tighter in there.

so this gives it a little bit of play. also now they have a stainless steel insetring in here probably to help with the juicing and to help break up some of those fibresof pulp. in addition, this auger now does not havethe teeth in the bottom, which i like a lot – that’s always a part that can’t bemore difficult to clean. so this looks overall really good designedauger ; upgraded for sure. next let’s go ahead and pull out the juicingscreen, now, if you just compare this juicing screen to the other b6000 juicing screen, just from the side shot it may look similar because it has a similar ge ultem material(8 times harder plastics) so you’ll rarely

have any breakages with the screen. but now it you look at the bottom that’swhere it gets significantly different. of course we still have the little hole onthe bottom where all the pulp flows out of but on the bottom now it’s a whole sealedbottom, and now the only hole in the bottom besides from where the pulp flows out is actuallywhere the centre of the auger goes into. so as you guys can see, it kind of goes injust like that, so when the auger is in there, basically that completes the seal so now you’llget less juice leakage that you did on previous generation models due to the improved steeland the way this is now working. so i definitely like that a lot, and let’sgo ahead and pull it out.

and other than that, well it’s pretty muchthe same, i know this is how you clean it you take your cleaning tool that kuvings provides– kuvings is the only manufacturer that provides this cleaning tool – put this onthe screen and just rotate this back and forth under the running hot water with a spray andbasically it’s going to get all the holes of your screen clean. i think this is really ingenious and it’sgoing to save you time when cleaning your juicer. of course this only gets the outside and thenof course you’re going to want to use the standard oversize toothbrush to go ahead andget on the inside and scrub out the inside.

now i am seeing one difficulty here : becausethey’ve re-designed with the bottom on the screen the standard cleaning brush is goingto have a little bit of a challenge getting into the bottom row of the holes on the screenso maybe they need to have a different re-designed cleaning brush. it barely makes it – it actually kind ofmisses – so yeah, maybe it needs to be thinner or something. but yeah, that’s a little comment on that. and then next of course we have the automaticwiping blade. so the wiping blade if you just look at it– ok yeah it’s a similar wiping blade.

but this also has been re-designed and wellthought out as well. now they have some re-designed wipers herethat are actually offset so you can see this one has a wiper and this has an inset so thisis going to help keep everything flowing inside there, especially when you want to make smoothiesinside the machine. i mean it’s still pretty much the same. now the last part that’s changed significantlyis the main drum or i would call it the bowl and the main bowl here has still that standardgear here on the bottom ; the wiping gear. and i like that there’s only a gear herethat actually drives the wiping blade. the other one is actually built into the bottomof this – when the motor spins, it has a

gearing system to drive that, so this is goingto be a more efficient way to drive it than in the past. in addition in the bottom of this there isno longer a gasket : it’s because it’s now built into the screen so if you need anew gasket just get a new screen it’s going to come included. and that’s a big problem spot for many verticalsingle auger juicers so now it’s been removed out of here. and the other major difference in this machineis that virtually all of their vertical slow juicers that i’m aware of actually has alittle silicone flap that you actually have

to unplug when you’re cleaning and plugit back in when you’re juicing. the kuvings whole slow juicer c6000 modelhas now deleted this. so now they just have the hole where the pulpcomes out and the hole in the screen where the pulp has to get pushed through. so this is interesting to me – dependingon how the machine’s designed… actually – oh, you know i’m seeing nowhow the auger is designed to help push the pulp and get it to flow underneath, it’sactually quite interesting. i’m really going to have to test and seehow this works, you know.

on one level it might get a lower yield butthey may have designed it really properly at it’s actually going to get a higher yieldso i’m really curious on how this is going to perform compared to other vertical slowjuicers on the market. i mean that’s pretty much it – oh, ohthe other thing, on the bowl here you have an all new spout cap. the spout cap on here now it has a metal piecehere it seems to be much more heavy duty, more solid connection, you’re going to getless leakage and it seems to be a lot more solid than the previous one. now i want to show you guys assembly – assemblyis really easy on the kuvings whole slow juicer

c6000 model you’re going to take your mainbowl - it’s going to go right on top of the machine like that, the spout where thejuice comes out is going to go over where it says “kuvings”. then you’re going to take your screen andyour wiping blade and push that right in there till it seats, and then you’re going togo ahead and take this little red dot and line it up with the red dot on top of thebowl and drop them into place and it should seat fairly nicely in there. it’s going to drop into place. oh, i failed to mention that on the screenhere there are three mounting points that

actually keep the screen in place comparedto the original kuvings whole slow juicer that had fewer points to do that. next, we’re going to go ahead and take there-designed auger, we’ll go ahead and drop that baby in there, make sure it’s all theway seated down in there. and then we’re going to go ahead and takethe top and we’re going to want to line up the red dot here with the red dot here- it drops into place and then we’re just going to go ahead and turn it to close, justlike that. and then of course we have the cool funnelthat we’re just going to go ahead and put on the top.

and that’s how easy it is to assemble thekuvings whole slow juicer – this assembly is quite easy as well, we’re just goingto go ahead and turn this, take it off. and these are all the parts you’re goingto have to clean, you know, clean out the auger here – i just washed this under thewater with a brush. i like that the brush could actually get insidethe under part of the auger - some companies the brush actually does not fit underneaththe auger, that can be difficult to clean. then we’re going to go ahead and take outthe screen – use your screen cleaning tool on there, brush it off on the outside, thenyou can go ahead and brush off the inside. and then you’re going to go ahead and takethe main bowl and you can use the bottom of

the brush to kind of dislodge some pulp. i just blast this under hot water, most ofthe stuff comes out and then you’re going to use this little tool brush to get in andclean all the passageways where the juice and the pulp is coming out. and that’s how easy it is to clean it shouldtake me probably under four minutes to clean the kuvings whole slow juicer which isn’tactually that long. all right so the next thing we’re goingto do is we’re going to go ahead and get these parts rinsed off since they’re newout of the box i would encourage you guys to wash your juicer before first use.

we’re going to wash them and we’re goingto come back at you and i’m going to make my first juice with the kuvings whole slowjuicer c7000 model. so now i’m all set up and ready to juicein the kuvings whole slow juicer c7000 model. what i’ll be juicing today are some purplecarrots – i’ve got mostly purple carrots, maybe like one orange carrot in there. now i like to juice purple carrots becausethe purple carrots have special phytonutrients in there that may help you shed weight easieror better than the standard orange ones. they have a lot more phytonutrients so they’remore nutrient dense and more protective for us against diseases due to deep rich anthocyaninpigments.

in addition, i’m also juicing some asianpears for sweetness and i’ve just got the whole asian pears here, no chopping, cuttingrequired because because this is the kuvings whole slow juicer ; you can drop whole applesin or any other round fruit up to three inches. now i do encourage you guys to cut off thestems of the apples because the stems actually may get caught up in the machine and may clogit up, so that’s not a good thing. in addition i’ll also be juicing some yellowbeet root. beet is actually really good for your circulatorysystem and it may improve oxygen uptake in athletes. and finally, i’ll be juicing some celery.

celery is one amazing vegetable – full ofelectrolyte trace minerals for you guys to replenish a dehydrated body. in addition it has a nice neutral flavour,so yeah this should be a fairly delicious juice that i’m making. now, i’ve left most the produce whole andthe only thing i’m going to chop up before putting into the kuvings whole slow juiceris the celery. see, the challenge with the celery is thatthe celery has these long strands and if you’re eating a celery, these stands will get stuckin your teeth. they may also clog the ejection port wherethe pulp comes out on the kuvings whole slow

juicer. if you’re juicing one or two pieces of celery,it’s probably not an issue and you’re making less than 24oz of juice, but i’mmaking a lot of juice here and i want to make sure that the juicer does not clog and i wantto teach you guys the best of what i know. the best of what i know is to chop the celeryup and just drop handfuls in and let it self feed. everything else is going to remain whole andwe’re going to see how the all new kuvings whole slow juicer c7000 handles it all. now the other thing that i failed to mentiona bit earlier is that the new 7000 model is

a true drop in model. so the other model you’d have to put thejuicing apparatus on and then lock it into place like a half turn (or small turn actually, not a half turn – a little small turn). this one you just drop it in so it’s a loteasier to assemble and furthermore this machine runs at a low and slow, around 60 revolutionsper minute, so that’s actually quite slow – maybe it’s one revolution a second. go figure. and the reason i like slow juicers insteadof high speed machines that also have 3” wide feed chutes is because you’re goingto create a higher quality juice with more

of the most important nutrients in the juicenot necessarily the vitamins and the minerals which are important but it’s the phytonutrients, silly! these are the pigments in the foods like thepurple carrots, the red in the tomatoes, or lycopene, and all the thousands of discoveredand yet undiscovered phytochemicals and phytonutrients in foods. and when these phytochemicals are exposedto fast, spinning, aerating, high speed juicers it has been shown that the nutrients and theantioxidant levels are lower in the juice and furthermore, taking that same juice andputting it in petri dishes with active cancer cells, the high speed juice does not controlthe cancer as much as the slow juice, which

has a greater cancer kill rate per se. so, yeah, without further ado let’s go aheadand get juicing – turn this machine on. it’s fairly quiet probably about the samelevel of noise or sound as their previous model let’s go ahead and chop this celeryup. now how i’m going to chop this celery up,i’m just going to go ahead and take the knife and chop it up into like quarter inchpieces minimum, i like to to do one eighth but quarter inch is fine. and so well, once we’ve go these quarterinch pieces we’re just going to go ahead and take them and drop them in machine.

but we’re not going to drop the celery infirst, we always want to put the softest produce item in first which in this case is the asianpear. just drop it in. now it does have a safety in here so you willhave to use the pusher to get it past that safety right there and once you do it youjust want to let the juicer take it and crush it on out – no additional pushing is necessaryas you guys can see, we’re instantly getting the juice out. the pulp is coming out. probably the next hardest thing we’ve gotis the celery – so i like with the new funnel

i can just drop that celery in there. as you guys can see the kuvings whole slow juicer is juicingit on up. next we’re going to take a whole carrot, drop that carrot in there, and look at that, the kuvings whole slow juicer with 240w motoris taking that carrot, and that was a thick diameter of carrot, and it’s just juicingit on up and getting the nice rich purple carrot juice out without me having to pushor do anything. let me tell you, this is the life. the only thing i’m doing here is i’m justcutting up all this celery so that i can easily

drop it in the machine. next let’s go ahead and go for that beet– this is a beet i grew from my garden, nice and hard, maybe a little bit past thetime i should of harvested it - drop right in there, went past the safety. the kuvings whole slow juicer is chuggingoff pieces and juicing it on up – no problem, no stopping, it just works, right? and this is not the case with some of thecheap imported knockoff machines that i have seen they really have challenges feeding theproduce in and kuvings has taken the time and spent hours and hours of development toensure that aside from having a big, deep

chute – that’s all good and dandy – butdesigning it properly, this little area of the chute here is designed properly so thatit’ll funnel things in. and as you guys can see, inside there (causeit is a smoke housing), there is no produce left in there, so this is actually quite amazingto me. next let’s go ahead and take a nice bigcarrot, drop it in there, see what happens with the kuvings whole slow juicer. it’s taking it up, you can hear the motorweeing and waning a little bit, but it has not stopped yet unlike other machines thati’ve used, vertical slow juicers. that carrot would of just stopped the juicerflat in its tracks – the kuvings whole slow

juicer still juicing. i am seeing it is generating some small amountsof pulp and i think this is less pulp than the previous generation would have. next let’s go ahead and drop in some morecelery. once again i really like that funnel so incase i missed the hole – i don’t miss the hole too much – that it doesn’t justdrop on the countertop. so next we’ll add more celery and phoebeapple. now, very important, you want to rotate theproduce on any slow juicer when you’re feeding it.

don’t always put all the asian pears inthen all the carrots and all the celery. you want to keep giving it different kindsof produce, cause different kinds of produce will work better or worse and, say, the softerproduce items are going to tend to maybe mush up and maybe not – the pulp won’t eject– but then you follow it by some celery, it’s going to eject a lot better. all right, let’s follow that by a nice thickcarrot – let’s try to clog this baby up. drop it right in there. man, the kuvings whole slow juicer is crunchingit up. i’m going to go ahead and check this pulpout.

this pulp looks like the pulp from the asianpear right there, it’s nice and compressed and hard - let me squeeze that for you. wow, i squeezed like a few drop of juice – that’sactually quite impressive for juicing fruit ; fruit is one of the harder things to squeezeall the juice out of and so far the kuvings whole slow juicer c7000 model is doing a greatjob. see i’ve got a small little carrot, orangecarrot, let’s go ahead and drop that baby in there. orange carrot, much more tender and thin thanthe purple carrots. no problem for the kuvings whole slow juicer.

all right, let’s go ahead and throw somemore celery in there. no problem. once again, i want to encourage you guys tochop your celery. also things like kale and collared greens, swiss char ; things with long fibrous stems, you want to cut those guys up, right. and then it’s easier, actually, to justdrop handfuls of that stuff in as you alternate the foods you’re juicing. another one of the asian pears, man, it’sjust spraying the juice out of that. quite impressive how it’s works.

let’s go ahead and put in another purplecarrot. i really like how i’m not doing any work,i’m letting the juicer do all the work and that’s how it should be. and you know, unlike the previous model, idon’t really see any clogging or sticking up here at the entry chute so it looks likekuvings has definitely made some major improvements on this model. now i know you guys that already own a kuvingswhole slow juicer b6000 (their previous generation) you’re wondering : “john, can i just getthis top attachment and fit it on my machine?”. well, i’m sorry – this top attachmentonly fits the new c7000 model.

i wish kuvings would make it backwards compatibleso you could take the new one, put it on the old one, to respect their old customers buti think they want you to sell your juicer and then buy a new one, unfortunately. all right, let’s go ahead and juice thislast purple carrot. i haven’t been able to stop this juicerup with some of the hardest things that i’ve juiced – this would of easily stopped off…oh! i stopped up the kuvings whole slow juicer! all right, that was a really thick carrot. so, if that happens, no big deal, you’regoing to go to the on/off switch on the back

right here, and you’re going to hit reversefor a second, reverse it up, and then you’re going to hit forward again and no problemfor the kuvings whole slow juicer. still kicking out all the juice, no problemwhatsoever. finally we’re going to go ahead and endwith our cut up bits of celery – that’s going to help push all that carrot pulp through. i love to juice the last sacrificial vegetableslaughs in every burglar juicer and to me that’s a seller. i’d much rather have the nutrients fromthat deep rich purple carrot instead of more celery in my juice – that kind of just addswater and some minerals.

so that’s why i added a celery last. the other thing i would maybe put, i wouldof put is the asian pears, you know, put those last. cause sometimes the last item you put in themachine does not get fully juiced. now once you’re done juicing in the kuvingswhole slow juicer or any other vertical auger juicer you want to just put the item in andthen let the machine running another 30 seconds, 45 seconds. you want to make sure that the pulp outlethere, the pulp stops flowing out of the outlet and the juice stops flowing out at any greatvelocity.

right now it’s kind of dripping out so icould probably end, i think we’re probably good, i mean i could- . i’m going to goahead and close the spout cap and see if anything collects in there and that’s what i liketo use the smart cap for, actually, is to close it so that they don’t get drips oncountertop when i’m done juicing. and it looks like we’re not collecting anythingin that area. kuvings and many manufacturers do recommendyou could close the smart cap and actually you can do mixing in the juicing bowl. actually, i don’t recommend that, causei have seen with my testing that you’re going to lower your yield and your pulp’sgoing to come out a little bit wetter and

you’re going to maybe oxidize the juicemore cause it’s continually sitting inside there and getting more air infiltration insteadof being able to eject it out. so that’s my opinions on that. and now, looks like we got the juice here. let’s go ahead and show you guys after we’vestrained the juice here. and it’s going to be interesting when ifinally do get to do the test between the new kuvings and the old. i mean, i’ll confidently say right now becausei used the old kuvings whole slow juicer for a long time and this juicer makes less pulpin the juice.

this is the amount of pulp i created withthe kuvings whole slow juicer c7000 model. once again this does come with a strainerwith actually a finer hole mesh size than this. i use this strainer cause i like to use mystainless steel strainer and my glass catch cups instead of the included plastic ones, personally. next, i want to show you guys here the pulp. this pulp to me looks like it’s really dry,it’s actually quite impressive, i mean, i’ve seen some vertical slow juicers workand the pulp is a bit wet but i think kuvings is on the right track.

they definitely made major improvements overtheir b6000 model. so, let’s see here, squeeze this pulp… look at that! i’m squeezing the pulp pretty hard – igot a couple of drips out man, but this pulp is actually quite impressively dry. i really can’t wait to do real testing betweenthis and some of the other vertical juicers on the market that are some of the best right now. you know, this one may end up on top.

all right, last thing, we’re going to goahead and drink the juice. all right, finally let’s go ahead and trythe juice here – let’s see, we’ve made, like, 32oz or a full quart of juice here. let’s go ahead and pour that in. look at that nice consistency – that’snice and clean, we strained it, really nice, rich, deeply pigmented colour. oh, and i always encourage you guys, whenyou do make a juice, make a really rich dark juice – wether that’s a dark green, darkred/purple like i’ve made today, but just make really dark juices, there’s more phytonutrientsin there.

ok now we’re going to go ahead and get todrink this baby. umm. i am tasting some particulate since the holeson my strainer are actually a bit larger. but it’s quite all right. this juice is definitely a winner. i’m not tasting any aeration in this juice,i mean, it’s a slow juicer, it’s not going to be aerating your juice as much as a highspeed centrifugal ejection machine now what this comes down to is : “hey john, thisnew machine, man, it’s about 50$ (at present time) more than the previous generation model.

is it worth the extra 50 bucks?”. well you know i’m pretty cheapskate, tightwad…whatever you call it… frugal! it’s called frugal – it sounds better. and i would definitely say that yes, it’sworth the extra 50$ for the upgraded c7000 based on my observations at present time, this one will make higher yields - as confirmed also by the manufacturer – than their previousgeneration model. in addition, you’re going to have less problemswith the leaking on the bottom because of the new seal built into the screen.

in addition, this machine is going to be easierto clean due to some less nooks and crannies than the previous generation. and also you’ve got the added convenienceof the funnel as well as the strainer, and basically this machine is just overall improved. also i like the look of this machine a littlebit better – looks a bit more solid on the countertop and it has that same kuvings highquality. so if you guys are looking for a verticalslow juicer that has a 3” wide feed chute, at a present time the kuvings whole slow juicerc7000 is definitely the one to go with – there’s no other machine on the market at this timethat’s going to beat this one out based

on my observations and opinions from usingit the first time. but that’s because it’s literally thename brand in wide feed chute vertical slow juicers. be sure to stay tuned for my upcoming episodeswhere i’ll be comparing this to other popular vertical slow juicers in the market so youcan know how it compares to other smaller feed chute vertical slow juicers. if you guys enjoyed this episode please besure to support me and my work by making your purchase at discountjuicers.com dependingon when you’re seeing this we are having an exclusive on being able to sell the kuvingswhole slow juicer c7000 a week before it’s
