best place to buy home appliances

all right! this is john kohler with discountjuicers.com.today we have another exciting episode for you. what we’re going to do today is toshare with you guys my top three best vertical single slow juicers. the last one of thesevideos i did back in february, but guess what? just like they have the new i phone 6 out, then they had the i phone 5, and then the i phone 4 before that, there’s always newjuicers coming out, and i like to stay up to date with all of the new technology. iwant you guys to be forewarned that if you are researching juicers and reading websitesand all of this kind of stuff, that stuff gets outdated very quickly. i’ve just visitedsome websites earlier that still talk about juicers from three years ago, that are thebest or whatever. in my opinion, as new juicers

come out, and especially if they’re fromthe major brands, some of the major brands out there that discountjuicers.com offers, they’re always raising the bar. it’s always a challenge when you find these off-brandjuicers made in china or are really inexpensive, you probably are going to have some challengeswith. i always encourage you guys to buy something good, buy something that is going to lastthe first time. i’m proud to say that all of these machines here have a minimum 10 warranty.one of them even has a 15 year warranty. so this is your confidence to know that you’renever going to have to buy another juicer again. if you buy an inexpensive juicer froma department store or what-not, yeah, it might have a short 90-day or 1-year warranty. whatabout in year 2? you buy another 1-year warranty

juicer, and it breaks down. you got to buyanother one. you got to buy 10 juicers, man! you’re going to exceed the cost of justbuying one of these good ones, just doing it once, because they have a 10-year, or 15-yearwarranty. it’s very important. but anyways, this is the updated video with my top 3 verticaljuicers at this time. so let’s go over them one at a time, and show you guys which oneis my top, top, top favorite juicer. over on this side we got the slowstar juicer.these are all vertical slow juicers. now i want to stop there for a second and say thevertical slow juicer is a style of juicer that i recommend for you guys out there ifyou want to juice a little bit of everything. “john, i want to get on a juicing programbecause i saw a movie, ‘fat, sick, and nearly

dead.’” or, “i know juicing is a healthyway to include more fruits and vegetables.” “i want to make dietary changes.” or,“i just want to juice everything. i don’t know what i’m going to juice. but i wantto juice it all.” so that’s where all the vertical juicers do really well. theydon’t juice any one particular thing super well, but they don’t juice too many thingssuper bad either. that’s why i like these guys. also, for me personally, these are thejuicers that sit on my counter that i use on a regular day-to-day basis, day in andday out, because they work efficiently, they save some time in the kitchen, there’s literallyauto-feeding (which i like a lot), and it creates a high quality juice, which is actuallysuper important to me. you know, i’m not

a big fan of the centrifugally injection juicers.those are most juicers on the market. they have a fast spinning basket that runs at 10,000plus rpms, in the case of the brevill juice fountain. these guys – the slowest run runsat 43 rpms. 43 revolutions per minute. that’s a multitude slower. so i want you guys toremember – the slower the juicer, the slower the rpms, the less oxidated damage that isbeing done to the juice as it’s created, which means that there’s going to be morenutrition in the juice for you guys to drink, enjoy, and get the benefits from. in any case, let’s get back to the introductionhere. we’ve got the slowstar juicer over on this side. we’ve got the kuvings wholeslow juicer right in the middle, and we’ve

got the omega vsj843 juicer over on this side.now, let’s see here. this model only comes in this color. this model here, the kuvingswhole slow juicer, comes in silver, also purple, red, and also a white color. the omega vsj843comes in this squared-off design, and it comes in a red color, a silver color, and also awhite color. in addition, it comes in a rounded design so basically it chops off this littlesection here so it’s a lot more streamlined and a little bit smaller footprint on yourcounter. the only difference between the round model and the square model is just the footprinton your counter. the parts that juice are identical. the motors are identical. the warrantiesare identical. at the present time, the round model comes only in the red and the silver.

so now you’re thinking, “ok john. tellme. what is your favorite juicer of all of these three juicers?’’ i’m going tocome clean with you guys. if you guys have more than one kid, right, if you guys havemore than one kid, some of you guys might not have any kids, or may have only one kid, then imagine that you have more than one kid. if your kid asked you one day, “daddy, whois your favorite son or daughter?” could you answer him and say, “oh, it’s you.or it’s you. or it’s you.” i would ask my dad this many times when i was growingup, and he would never give me an answer. he would have me and my brother. you can’treally pick favorites when you’ve got kids, right? you’re always going to say, “well,i like you, son, because of this, and i like

you, daughter, because of this.” you likedifferent sons or daughter for different reasons, right? and that’s how i am with the juicers.maybe if you put a gun to my head – “john, what’s the best one?” – i might be ableto say something so you wouldn’t shoot me or something, but then i’d probably askabout 50 questions. but anyways, i’m going to go down my favorite things about each ofthese juicers, one by one, for you guys. so the slowstar juicer over on this side,i like this a lot, because, number one, it’s the lowest price machine of all of these machineson the table here. it’s also the most versatile. so this juicer allows you and it comes witha mincing attachment or a homogenizing attachment, which basically allows you to make thingslike nut butters, frozen fruit sorbets, make

salsas, and grind up various items, make nutpates with it. as this juicer stands, as all of these juicers stand, they will all basicallyjuice fruits and vegetables, all common fruits and vegetables that can be juiced. they willall also juice wheatgrass, although keep in mind that if you want to use a lot of wheatgrass, these are not the machines i would recommend. these will juice a little bit of wheatgrass, but they tend to squeak a lot, and they will produce juice from it, but the wheatgrass, especially if you do not cut it up, can get clogged on the outlet port. all of these machineswill also make the nut milks, or the coconut milks. so i love to do that a lot. i definitelydo not believe that milk is a health food. in my opinion, milk and dairy products arenot necessary in the human diet. all of these

will make the nut milks and also the fruitand vegetable juices. in addition, this guy is the most versatile. another thing i likeabout the slowstar juicer is that tribest, the company that stands behind it, has madeseveral upgrades to this machine. at the present time, and if you’re buying your brand newslowstar from discountjuicers, you’re getting all of the upgrades. some of the challengeswith the slowstar included leaking in the main seal in the unit, which they’ve nowreplaced and upgraded in all of the models. in addition, some of the first models hadsome challenges with not properly operating because it would kick the safety switch off.in addition, they updated and have a spout cap here so you can do mixing in the machineif you like and also prevents drips on your

counter. the cool thing is that tribest hasactually made these available free for a limited time or at no cost or someone may have topay a small shipping charge for the registered owner. so if they do come out with upgrades, which i’m confident that tribest will do, you’ll always get the latest and greatestparts courtesy of tribest or for a low cost. so that i really like a lot. so this machinedoes really good on the vegetables and the leafy greens, especially the hard vegetablesand the leafy greens, as compared to other vertical juicers. as a matter of fact, wheni juiced in the vsj and this machine, there’s literally like a 7 percent difference. sothat’s not a whole lot of yield. the main benefit here is the most versatility and thelowest cost. so that’s probably why i like

the slowstar. it’s also cool because it’sgot a nice handle. you can pick it up really easily and carefully. also, this thing isprobably the torquiest and beefiest motor. it’s a rare day that i’ve ever been ableto stop this machine. it just keeps grinding through, grinding through stuff as i put itin and kicking me out the juice. this one runs at approximately 47 rpms. that’s alsoreally slow, in a league with the omega vsj. another feature of the slowstar that i likea lot, but actually it originated on the slowstar. let me go ahead and take this apart for youguys, is actually the dual blade auger. so unlike most augers on vertical slow juicers,it actually basically has two blades that come around and help chop things up as youput the produce in the machine. that being

said, it’s very important on any verticalslow juicer in my opinion based on my experience is to pre-cut some of the harder leafy greenvegetables and fibrous vegetables, like celery, up into eighth-inch pieces before droppingit into the machine, because otherwise you may get extra cloggage and blockages in themachine. that’s really cool. so this helps process things better. i also find that thisgrinds things up to a fairly fine consistency. in addition, i like the slowstar juicer becauseit actually comes with a really nice, high quality stainless steel strainer. so noneof these other juicers come with a stainless steel strainer, and, in general, the verticaljuicers produce more pulp than other juicers on the market. so you will want to be awareof that.

so, that’s it for the slowstar juicer. next, let’s get into the kuvings whole slow juicer. now this juicer is different than both ofthese other machines on the table, because it has a nice wide 3-inch feed chute. so thisis nice and large, pretty much akin to the standard wide feed chutes of the centrifugallyinjection juicers. there are no other wide feed chutes slow juicers on the market atthis time that i’m aware of. this basically makes juicing very easy and simple when juicing, especially the fruits. the fruits can be cut up into large pieces and put in because thefeed chute is so large. now if you have the leafy greens or things like celery, i stilldo recommend cutting those up into smaller pieces so that the juicer can process it properlyand then putting it into the machine. so it’s

not going to save you too much time there, because you will still be required to do some prep work if you want to maximize the useand the efficiency of the machine. otherwise you may get some pulp blockages. now thisauger design -- see the difference here – does not have the dual blade like the other one,but it basically has a nice large inlet path to let the produce in the machine, and itworks fairly well. sometimes, you’ll get some things that will stick up at the topof the juicer that will not go in the juicer and get juiced. so this can be a concern thatyou will lose a little bit of the yield because of that. one of the reasons why i like thekuvings whole slow juicer is basically because of the large feed chute. i find the largefeed chute basically makes it really easy

for me to juice my favorite things when i’mjuicing fruits. so, for example, i was juicing watermelon the other day. i could cut nicelarge pieces of watermelon and put it right through the machine and get some deliciouswatermelon juice out. i use this machine to juice my cactus fruits. cactus fruits arean amazing food, and, actually, the only juicer on the table that will juice the cactus fruitsis this machine right here, the kuvings whole slow juicer. now why is this? this is forthe primary reason is that these two machines, actually, they grind up to a nice small particlesize, which means, in general, you’re going to get a higher yield on the vegetables. butwhen juicing the cactus fruit, the cactus fruit, if you’ve never eaten it before, has nice hard seeds. it’s these hard seeds

that literally get ground up by these twoother juicers that literally makes a sawdust out of these seeds, and, then what happensis that the sawdust gets stuck in the outlet ejection port, and then these machines willfail to juice the cactus fruit and stop running. so if you want to juice cactus fruit and youwant one of these, guess what? you’re going to have to go with this one, because the othermachines simply will not do it. that being said, in my yield test, in general, the kuvingswhole slow juicer does make a little bit less yield than these two other ones. another thingabout the kuvings whole slow juicer that i like is that it does actually come with what’sknown as a blank plate. this blank plate is not as versatile as this attachment with theslowstar juicer. but this blank plate, what

it does allow you to do is it allows you tomake the frozen fruit sorbets from the thawed fruit, and it also allows you to make thenut butters. but no other use of this blank plate is authorized by the manufacturer, andother use may void your warranty. so, yeah, that’s the kuvings whole slow juicer. anotherreason why i like the kuvings whole slow juicer is because it comes with literally a 100 pagerecipe book for juices and all different kinds of recipes, so you can make healthy dietarychanges. none of the other juicers come with a dedicated recipe book to help you guys geton the path to eating a healthier lifestyle except the kuvings. so i definitely like thisa lot. in addition, the kuvings actually comes with three distinct cleaning brushes to allowyou get into the different nooks and crannies

to clean the screen, and a special screencleaning tool that’s going to make screen clean-up a breeze. the screen is the hardestpart to clean on any of these juicers. now i do want to say that all of these juicerstake me about three, four minutes to clean at maximum. there’s not too much differencewith that. but at the end of this video, i’m going to go over each of these different juicersand recommend which one i like for different scenarios. so, yeah, this one – mainly threeinch wide feed chute. i use it primarily for juicing my fruits. now, over on this side, we’ve got the omegavsj843. basically, at this time, because i have played with the slowstar juicer a lot– it’s sitting on a shelf – and these

two guys sit on my counter, because i reallywanted to get to know the vsj843 and how it works so i can answer questions about it,also, just have more experience with it juicing all different kinds of things in it, so iknow exactly what happens so i can explain it to you guys. i’m here to let you guysknow about all the different machines. the slowstar company will try to make you thinkthat their juicer is the best. the kuvings people is going to make you think theirs isthe best. the vsj or the omega people are going to make you think that theirs is thebest. and i’m just here to tell you guys like it is. you guys could figure out what’sbest for you because you might have different needs than i do, say like, “oh john, i don’tcare about juicing cactus fruits.” so then

you would still be able to pick any one ofthese machines. they’re going to be great. my needs are specific to me, and, at the presenttime, actually, i’ve learned to really like the vsj juicer for a few reasons. number one,i find that it makes the most yield out of all of these machines on the table for juicingthe hard vegetables and the leaves. in a case where i did a test against the slowstar, itdid make 7 percent more yield, which isn’t a whole lot, right, but also it is more expensive.it also does have the longest warranty. it has a 15 year warranty, so that’s five extrayears on top of these two guys. i want you guys to look at a juicer as an investment.it’s an investment in the most important thing you got. no, not the stock market. yourhealth, right? without your health, you don’t

have anything because i almost lost my lifewhen i was younger, right? i almost wasn’t here. if i wasn’t here, i wouldn’t behere to make these videos to share with you guys the best juicers to get so that you guyscould improve your health and be here for many years to come, to see your kids throughhigh school, to see them get married, to meet a girlfriend, to get married, to enjoy yourmoney, whatever. i know many of you guys out there – i mean, the standard american, 66percent of the people in america are either overweight or obese, and, in my opinion, thiscan be solved by leading a proper lifestyle, which includes of course some exercise, but, more importantly, in my opinion, eating the right kind of foods. fruits and vegetablesare the best foods on the planet, and most

people are deficient in fruit and vegetableintake. simply, that’s what these juicers allow you to do. they allow you to up yourfruit and vegetable intake. most of what i eat are actually fruits and vegetables. i’mnot playing around or wasting my time with stuff that’s not going to be good for me.but the fact of the matter is clear. most americans are not eating enough fruits andvegetables in high quantities. that’s why i love these juicers so much. in any case, the vsj seems to work very well. it’s nice and quiet. actually, that’s the other thingwhy i like it. it’s the quietest juicer that i’ve tested because it doesn’t havea drive gear like these other machines for the automatic widening blade system. it’sactually quieter than the others. also, it

runs at 43 rpms which is the lowest. actually, the kuvings whole slow juicer runs at 60 rpms according to the manufacturer. and, of course, this one is down at the 47, 48 rpms, so not too much faster. comparing the rpms, you’resplitting hairs, because these are the slowest juicers on the planet right now, and they’reprobably some of the best. also, i like the vsj because actually i learned to like theon and off switch right at the front. it makes it easy and convenient to use, whereas theseother ones are off in the back and a little bit lower. it has a nice easy rocker switchthat’s really easy to use. what else do i like about the vsj? oh, for me, the vsjis absolutely the easiest juicer to clean, because they have deleted the little spinninggear at the bottom of the bowl. it makes it

super simple, super easy to clean. it’seasy to put together because there are no major dots to line up. you just put everythingin, locks together, goes right in. also, you just could lift this top right off, easy toclean. they have an expanded outlet port right here that actually is large enough so i couldput my finger in and wipe it with my finger to get all of the pulp out when i’m cleaningit, so it’s really well designed. of course, i like this little flap here. so yeah, that’swhy i like the vsj. now, one of the things that i have noticed about the vsj that’snot the greatest is that it does seem to have an undertorqued motor. what does this mean?well, it runs at 43 rpms, and when i was juicing carrots in it, it basically kind of stalledthe machine out so you can’t put wide fat

diameter carrots in there. you will have tocut them length-wise to make them a little bit thinner so that they will juice properly.i haven’t had really this issue with anything else other than the cactus fruit when i juicingthem with the seeds, because the seeds are just too hard for the omega vsj843. so that’s pretty much it. that was the run-throughon all of these machines. now i want you to give you some scenarios on which juicer isbest for which task. so, for example, if you’re thinking, “ok john. i know a juicer is aninvestment in my health, so i want to get the juicer with the longest warranty.” soif this is what you want, this guy has 10, this guy has a 10 year warranty, and thisguy has a 15 year warranty. so you’re going

to want to go with the omega vsj843. so thenext scenario is, “hey john. i just pretty much want to juice fruits. what vertical juicershould i get if i want to juice mostly fruits?” well, i would say go with the kuvings wholeslow juicer. why? it has a nice wide feed chute that makes juicing fruits easy. nowi wish the whole slow juicer would actually have a little funnel to help direct thingsin like these two other machines, but, at the present time, they do not. so that’swhy i like it. so if you’re somebody who wants the least amount of pulp in the juice, then i would recommend the omega vsj. when you’re juicing with it, it puts the leastpulp out in the juice the first time through. it’s the vertical slow juicer that makesthe least amount of pulp of all the different

juicers i’ve tested, and i’ve used differentfruits and vegetables in there, and it still makes the lowest pulp of all of them. nowthe next one i’ve picked for the lowest pulp is actually the slowstar machine becauseit does come with a nice fine stainless steel sieve or strainer to sieve out the pulp afterit comes out of the machine. the kuvings doesn’t come with an additional strainer and doesalso leave some pulp in the juice. now on the flip side, “john, i like a lot of pulpin my juice. what juicer should i get?” well then you probably want to go with thekuvings whole slow juicer or the slowstar and don’t use the stainless steel sievethat is included with it. if you do get the omega vsj and you want to get some pulp inyour juice, you going to have to reach over

in the pulp bin, grab it, and put it backin your juice to get some of that pulp that you want. i personally prefer my juices withoutpulp and believe that while we do need fiber, i get my fiber at other times of the day wheni’m eating my fresh fruits or a nice large salad at night for dinner. the next criteria is, “john, i want to makedietary changes in my life. i know that fruits and vegetables are good and the juicers allowme to include more fruits and vegetables. but what about being able to utilize otherplant foods in my diet?” some of these machines have multi-function uses. for that use, thenthe machine i would recommend is the slowstar juicer. it has a mixing attachment which isthe most versatile among all of these machines

to allow you to process all different kindsof produce and plant foods so that you can eat them. it will allow you to make frozenfruit sorbets out of frozen fruits so you can get rid of the ice cream. you can makenut butters to get rid of the real butter and things that you’re using so that youcan eat more plants. nuts are really healthy for you, in my opinion, in small amounts.in addition, i’ve used it to make salsas and process eggplant to break up the fibrouseggplant to dehydrate to make a mock eggplant meat to put on some tacos. that’s actuallyquite good. of course, the second choice would be the kuvings whole slow juicer which hasthe blank plate which allows you to make the nut butters and frozen fruit sorbets.

another criteria for you might be, “john,i’m noise-sensitive, man. i want to get the juicer with the least amount of noise.”that one i easily give to the omega vsj843 juicer. it juices the quietest by far. now if you’re someone who says, “john,i want to juice fruits. what’s the best juicer for fruits?” then i probably go withthe kuvings whole slow juicer. this juicer with its wide feed chute makes fruit juicingeasy. you could put in whole small diameter apples or whole pieces of fruit, nice largechunks of watermelon, the cactus fruit that i love to juice so much, and it just worksvery easily and perfectly. this juicer to me is optimized for juicing the fruits, whileit will still juice other things as well.

now you say, “john, i’m really into juicingmy vegetables. i want to juice hard vegetables and leafy greens.” then i would say thatyou’re going to want to go with the vsj or the slowstar juicer. the yields are verycomparable, super close. if i had to say that one was going to beat out in yield, i wouldsay that the vsj is going to beat it out literally by a hair. it is that close. these both havethe dual blade auger system, and this is the latest design in the single auger juicersbasically. the pulp path – the produce is crushed. it gets squeezed between the augerand the screen where the juice is squeezed out. then the pulp goes down, and it comesback down and then up underneath the auger and then back down the chute there. most othervertical slow juicers have a little small

port. basically they’ve found with testingthat the new design of both of these machines are the best. so say you’re one of those people who areearly adopters. “john, i got the iphone 6 man. i stood in line overnight to get itfirst.” you want to have the latest and greatest. then guess what? the omega vsj843is the latest and greatest. it literally just came out a few months ago. that’s the bestone and the newest technology at this time. what if you’re like, “hey john. i likejuicers that are pretty reliable and i don’t have to call the manufacturer to get partsand i don’t want it to break down. what juicer should i get?” for me, i have hadissues with all of the juicers on the table,

some less than others. obviously, i haven’thad too many issues with the omega vsj yet because it is so brand new. but out of allof the machines for the durability factor, i would say go with the slowstar juicer. tribestis there to stand behind it. they’ve actually been making constant improvements to it tomake it that much better. it’s actually fairly tried and true and it’s going togive you the least amount of challenges of all of these three machines on the table. so what if you want to juice a lot of wheatgrass?“john, i just want to juice a lot of wheatgrass. which one of these three machines are goingto do the best?” well, i’d say that, number one, you don’t want to get any of thesevertical slow juicers to juice mostly wheatgrass.

while these will juice wheatgrass, if youdo want to juice wheatgrass and sprouts, i would recommend a horizontal slow juicer suchas the omega nc800 or the solostar 3, which, at the present time, are the best of the horizontalsingle auger machines at this time. so what if you’re somebody who wants tobuy a machine from a company that has a proven track record in the united states? well theni’d say go with the omega. omega is one of the longest operating juicing companiesin the united states, and i don’t believe that they are going to be going anywhere.next to that, tribest, they’ve been around for over 25 years now, so that’s real stable.kuvings is a relatively new company in the usa. so, for user stability, go with one ofthese two guys.

so what if you’re somebody who lives innew york city and you have a small apartment with this much counter space and you ‘relike, “john, i want to get the juicer that has the smallest footprint and takes the leastamount of space.” then i’d say go with the omega vsj843r. that’s the rounded versionof this. it actually has the smallest footprint of all of these machines. also, it’s themost compact. so that’s what i would say for that. what if you’re somebody who says, “john,i want to juice. i want to get these fresh juices in me every single day, but clean upis a drag. i want to get the juicer that is the most easy to clean out of all of thesemachines.” for me personally, what i would

say for you is then you want to go with theomega vsj843. it doesn’t have a little gear on the bottom. it comes apart very easily, and i find it the easiest to clean of all of these three. while it is the easiest toclean, it might take a half minute or a minute less than the others, which is not a lot. what if you’re somebody who wants to makedietary changes and you don’t know what to do. you’re just going to buy a juicerand you’re not going to buy any additional recipe books, and you want to have a juicerthat comes with a guide to help get you there and give you recipes and give you guys ideason what to juice and how to make it. well then, it’s easy. the kuvings whole slowjuicer comes with a nice full-color recipe

book that will explain to you different recipesand how to exactly make them so that you can make the dietary changes you want so you canstart feeling great today. what if you’re somebody who wants a juicerfor the lowest price and is the best deal of all of these machines? well then, i wouldsay “that’s easy – go with the slowstar.” it’s the most versatile juicer with themixing attachment. also, it’s the most lowest price on this table at this time. it’s actuallyabout $50 less than the omega vsj at this time. so what if you’re one of those design studentsin college? maybe you’re an architect, and you just like things that are designed verywell and looks modern and sleek and all of

this kind of stuff. then, the answer is clear.you guys are looking at all of these juicers on the table. i think the most sleek, thebest designed juicer for me personally – i’m not one of those kind of guys needs somethingthat looks really great – that’s the vsj. it has a nice slick design. it just looksreally clean. some of these other juicers here look a little bit more old-fashioned,but of course they perform fairly well. what if you’re somebody who wants the leastamount of hassle when juicing that’s just basically power through things, not stop, not clog up on you, and all of this kind of stuff. for me personally, what i would choosethen is i would choose the slowstar. i would also encourage you to watch a video i madeentitled, “using the slowstar juicer.”

it’s going to go through my step-to-stepguide on how to use it properly, so that it’s going to work for you. it has a very strong, powerful low rpm motor that i’ve rarely, if ever, gotten to stop up. it just workslike it should, provided you prepare your produce properly, get some good produce tojuice, it’s going to work for you without any hassles whatsoever. what if you’re somebody that moves yourjuicer a lot and wants to be able to move the juicer and have it mobile and be ableto pick it up and move it easily? well then, i would recommend the slowstar juicer. ithas a nice handle on the back here, and, once properly assembled, you could actually justpick it up, although i still recommend holding

it by the bottom, supporting the juicer bythe bottom. these guys you simply cannot pick up from the top, because the top will separateon you. so i know you’re thinking, you’re probablythinking, “john, what’s the best juicer that makes the most yield, man? i just wantto get that juicer.” well, as you guys learned, each of these juicers has pros and cons toit. my job is simply to share with you guys what each juicer does so that you guys canmake an informed decision and let you guys know. it’s super important to me. that’swhy i make all these videos for you guys. i have nearly 400 videos. i have over 400videos now on youtube, sharing and comparing different machines, juicing this amount ofproduce in the kuvings whole slow juicer and

the omega vsj, using the omega vsj againstthe slowstar, and using the slowstar against the kuvings whole slow juicer, so you guyscan learn how these juicers are different, what the yields will be, and also some ofthe similarities between them. because in each of those videos, i’m actually usingthe machine, taking it apart, and going over more of the specifics. so i do encourage youto check out those other videos on my youtube channel. also be sure to subscribe to my videosif you’re not already. that being said, on the yield, it’s definitely hard to saywhich one of these juicers is the clear winner, because it depends on what you’re juicing.if a dealer or somebody says, “oh yeah. this juicer always makes the best yield, orthe most yield,” they’re lying to you.

because the yield always varies dependingon the juicer, the type of juice extraction that’s being used, and also the producebeing juiced. some juicers, due to the design, are more effective on certain produce itemsthan others. that being said, in general, but not always, especially when purchasinga juicer from the name brands, the top name brands like the three companies here -- tribest, kuvings, and omega – in general, their latest and newest models generally have higher yieldsbecause they’re improving their products, and they want to sell the latest and greatest, not last year’s model. so if you’re still are seeing other videos i’ve made and said,“oh yeah john. it looked like you liked this juicer way back when. do you still likethat juicer?” because i get those e-mails

too. well this is the latest and greatestvideo as of september 2014 at this time. these are my favorite ones. but in terms of yield,it’s really tough to say. if i had to just pick one that’s going to make the most yieldson most things, and of course it’s the latest technology, that’s the omega vsj. in mycurrent tests, it seemed to produce a little bit more yield, not a lot. in one case, itwas 7 percent. in one case, it was almost neck and neck. so it’s too difficult. iwould encourage you to select a juicer not necessarily on yield, but select the juicerthat’s going to juice best and on the produce you’re going to juice most. in general, these guys will juice a wide variety of produce fairly well. these are the machines that iuse in my life on a day-to-day basis. i just

find them much more simple and easy to usebecause they are auto-feeding. they’re really easy to clean. for a busy guy like me whohas so many things going on, they’re my savior that allows me to juice literally everyday so that i can be much healthier, make these videos for you guys, and share the wealthof knowledge about juicing and encourage you guys to get more fruits and vegetables intoyou. of course, juicing’s a really good way. blending is another good way to do ittoo. and then, of course, just eating your fresh fruits and vegetables because they’realways the best, of course. in any case, i hoped you guys enjoyed thisvideo learning about the top three best vertical auger juicers at this time. and as you guyslearned, each one has its pros and cons. much

like if you’re a dad and you have multiplekids, you just can’t say, “oh, you’re my favorite.” you can’t play favorites, right? i like each one for each different reason, and i use each of them in my kitchenstill for different specific tasks. much like i have many different screwdrivers in my toolbox.i just don’t have a flathead because you couldn’t unscrew a phillips head with aflathead screwdriver. it doesn’t work too well. i have the right tool for the rightjob, and i pick the right juicer for the task at hand. that being said, many of you guysare not going to buy multiple juicers. you’re only going to have one. so that’s why imade this video so that you guys can figure out and think to yourself, “hey john. ilike that you said that this had the longest

warranty. this makes the highest yield. ilike that this one is the most versatile.” and pick the one that’s going to meet yourneeds the best. then just be happy with it. there’s no perfect juicers out there. i’mwaiting for the day that there’s a juicer for $99.99 that i can go on an infomercialand sell on tv that does everything, including self-cleaning and makes the juice in two secondsflat. i can then retire. so, in addition, for a special discount for our youtube visitors,be sure to visit discountjuicers.com/youtube for special promotional offers for youtubevisitors.
