new kitchen designs

janelle: "welcome to the hot seat."cory: "hey! we are about to..." tyler: "i don't know why i did that."cory: "light your pants on..." janelle: "fire, and not literally."cory: "never." janelle: "just figuratively."tyler: "let me get out my lighter." janelle: "awesome. and we just want to letyou know that we don't do like multiple cuts of these. this is just one and done and sowhat you see is what you get. that's why sometimes there not very good."(laughter) janelle: "so, with that being said, we aregoing to jump right in to..." cory: "ultimately they're good. that's whythere's bad parts..."

tyler: "generally they're good."cory: "it's like a person." tyler: "we take the overall."cory: "no person's completely bad." janelle: "not even hitler. there was somegood things, not at all." tyler: "he was a good hoarder i guess."janelle: "indeed, indeed. you guys have the same haircut."tyler: "this is a classic haircut." janelle: "yah, classic, vienna. alright, wellwe're going to teach you all about kitchen kneads today."tyler: "it's one of our clients." janelle: "indeed. we are making a new siteand we are in charge of their amazon strategy, which is super exciting because it's justgoing to explode through the roof. so today

i'm going to show you some things about theirsite. we want to show you what we're going to...i think we're going to have a lot ofamazon stuff today, so that you can get, you know, outside of just website stuff."tyler: "can i say first that i just hate their logo."janelle: "you can. i think, can he say that?" tyler: "i just did so, what's the matter?"janelle: "he said it." tyler: "i said it."janelle: "um, a little nicer? we just had this discussion off air, but let me tell youwhat's going on with tyler right now. he's 40 and he doesn't care anymore. so apparently."cory: "it's got to be awesome to be 40." tyler: "it's pretty rad."cory: "say what you want."

tyler: "i'm like a curmudgeonly old man now.oh you young kids. you don't understand." cory: "janelle's getting there. janelle'sgetting to where she doesn't care. i'm in the midst of..."janelle: "he cares." cory: "...self consciousness."janelle: "yah. i'm 36." cory: "conscientiousness."janelle: "how old are you?" cory: "i'm 31."janelle: "31, we've got a good spread. we're like every four year plan. so anyhow. backto this where we care about kichen kneads." tyler: "yes we do."janelle: "and we do want to help them get a new logo, because that ones not going towork. so stay tuned because we just ordered

up that new logo today."cory: "because no matter where you put that logo it's going to date the product."tyler: "it is unfortunately not a classic logo. like it's not a swoosh that you justslap on anything from here to eternity and make it look fresh. the bread doesn't evenlook fresh." janelle: "the bread doesn't even look freshand that's a problem when you're making fresh bread for part of your business. so, anyhow,i'm seeing some similar things we did a prior client, the regency housing, and they had,you know, just truncated small little sliders right here that if you clicked on didn't doanything. see?" tyler: "that one..."janelle: "oh, it does! it actually does. ooh

strawberry bavarian cream puffs. that actuallylooks. oh! it took me off the website to another...one thing that we will do for these people isput their blog...it will be housed within the site, another reason why we love the wordpressplatform. but you know what? this is a great blog, especially for their target market,to have, i mean, recipes." tyler: "those cream puffs look really good."janelle: "they really do." cory: "fun way to keep new content comingand fresh content." tyler: "that looks really good too."janelle: "everything looks good. let's keep looking. i'm hungry."tyler: "that looks really..." janelle: "it's pretty. you'd eat frosting?you've got to have some cake with that."

tyler: "their meringue cookies."janelle: "how's that a cookie?" cory: "it looks like a rose but it's like..."tyler: "their meringue." janelle: "okay. what is meringue?"tyler: "it's cooked fruit, creamy, creamy." janelle: "yah tyler's a foodie, and uh..."cory: "quinoa protein bites." janelle: "yah, i'm sorry."tyler: "i don't know, i'd try it." cory: "i'd try it. look at it."janelle: "yah, because you like protien and supplements and stuff. i would like to eata cupcake." (laughter)janelle: "ahh, see that's what i'm talking about a crumb donut, now that looks very good."cory: "well, should we head on back?"

tyler: "let's go over to kitchen kneads andget a donut. holy crap!." janelle: "okay, yah this is boring. we goback." tyler: "i feel so relieved."janelle: "look at this book here...essentials of wheat, kitchen kneads. the could make amore compelling cover i think indeed, the cookbook first edition. would you buy thatcookbook?" tyler: "i don't know. the picture's prettysmall." janelle: "how can we make it bigger?"cory: "i don't know anything about it? i'm not exactly..."janelle: "magnify it. did you see how i magnified that. hold on here a minute people."tyler: "it's exactly the same size."

janelle: "let's fix that on the new site forsure. okay. man, they have a ton of inventory." tyler: "but we were going to talk about amazon."janelle: "i know. well..." tyler: "so what do you want to talk about?"janelle: "let's go to amazon, but first i want to talk about...with amazon strategyfor our clients, the goal is, you know, you get everything on amazon because that's wherea lot of people, at least i know me, do our shopping. so you can introduce someone toyour product for the very first time on amazon, but any secondary, third purchases or whatevershould come through your website. we we help our clients create a strategy. we get themon the amazon platform where they can steal traffic or, let's not say steal, let's say..."tyler: "they can use..."

janelle: "capture..."cory: "attract." janelle: "...capitalize."cory: "sure." janelle: "on the high search volume alreadyoccurring on that largest ecommerce site." cory: "their traffic doesn't belong to anybody."janelle: "and you could be there, right? like if we go to amazon right now, i mean, whatif i'm looking for an essential wheat cookbook. let's go see. hmm. i would like to get a wheatcookbook. look how much better those wheat cookbooks look than that?"tyler: "their nice." cory: "nicely designed."tyler: "wheat belly." janelle: "but they have a wheat cookbook.why couldn't we design them a new cover and

get them..."tyler: "because apparantly wheat belly is a thing now."janelle: "yah, this is why i iove, why i love love amazon because guess what, i was notlooking for wheat belly cookbook. i'm not looking to go on the paleo diet and cut outwheat, and i'm not needing a gluten free something. i'm looking for whole wheat recipes and soare a lot of people. we have software that will tell us how many people are searchingfor that. we can go find that out right now. and guess what? this key word is ranked inappropriatelyfor wheat cookbooks. so right now if i was kitchen kneads, i would go take my essentialswheat cookbook and i would go keyword rank it for wheat cookbook. because guess what?none of these are actually meeting the needs

of the person looking for a recipe book that'sall wheat. i have searched for that. i love whole wheat. i have a wheat grinder."tyler: "what if we put in whole wheat?" janelle: "alright, let's try that. whole wheatcookbook. flour, grain, baking, this is probably even better."tyler: "it's closer." janelle: "even better."tyler: "but there's gluten free, gluten-free cookbook in the middle."janelle: "that not, we're looking for whole wheat."tyler: "why are you even here?" janelle: "but what's crazy is janelle wasa consumer that wanted a wheat cookbook. they may not type in whole. you can rank if for both. so you need to go to google keywordplanner tool. you need to go to merchant words.

you need to go see what people are actuallytyping in. it's not like a guess. we can actually pull up the stats. we can see exactly whatthey're typing in for those things. let's go to seo chat. this is one nice little placewhere it's all in one place. it's a free tool. let's go to the free seo tools. let's justdo, you can get to google keyword right here. we'll do that one. i like a lot of these butlet's do this one right here. it gave us all of these all in one place, google, bing, amazon, youtube, so let's just go type in wheat cookbook. i wouldn't even type whole wheat, becausei'm like wheat is whole to me. okay, so look these are your top keywords and it gives you, suggests some of the other most popular search terms for key words so that you can startseeing, now you won't be able to see keyword

volume here without buying a subscription, but go over to your google keyword planner tool and it will give you that stuff. i justalways go like this, keyword, tool..." cory: "how do you say google keyword, likegeegle." janelle: "look, here it is. just click onthis." tyler: "kingdom cooler. what are you doing?"janelle: "i'm just trying to get..." tyler: "like ten clicks later."janelle: "ooh tyler, enter your password." tyler: "can i have my..."janelle: "yah, you get to try it now." tyler: "can i type in my password for you?"janelle: "get to the google keyword planner tool. i like it back here. how about you stayup front?"

tyler: "alright. then you direct me."janelle: "okay, so now you're going to go find new keywords."cory: "i can hide behind here." janelle: "yah, okay. so let's type in wheatcookbook." tyler: "where do you want to look for it?what's our location, united states?" janelle: "it'll give us all. you get all advanced.let's go right here." tyler: "i know, i'm, i like to be specific."janelle: "okay, now you're going to click on keyword ideas. perfect. and then look, everything shows this wheat belly, wheat belly, wheat belly, wheat belly."tyler: "it's very popular." janelle: "i know, wheat free..."tyler: "wheat belly has 49,000 searches, gluten-free

bread 40,000 searches."cory: "everyone's trying to, most people are trying to get away..."tyler: "it's very trendy right now to be done with wheat, gluten-free biscuits."janelle: "nobody's even looking for our wheat cookbook. so you know, let's go back up, comeon. a wheat cookbook, oh right here. ten people." tyler: "ten, ten."janelle: "hey, ten people is ten sales a month." tyler: "potentially, yah."janelle: "was there a cookbook for amazon on there?"tyler: "no, let's look." janelle: "i'm going to make that cookbookright now." tyler: "king arthur flour whole grain bakingor whole grain breads for peter rinehart so

you've got two other..."janelle: "let's go see the search results for whole grain cookbook."tyler: "whole grain cookbook, there are a couple. did you want to do whole grain?"janelle: "i want to see if people are searching for that, whole grain."tyler: "whole grain? whole grain, okay." janelle: "because i would rank it for thatif there's more than ten." tyler: "if there's any search volume."janelle: "30." tyler: "30 is a little bit better."janelle: "the cool thing with amazon their a9 algorithm is you can use, oh man, you canget up to like 40 keywords in to your keyword slots when your optimizing your listings.so we can take, and this is what we do for

our keyword research, take anything that'sapplicable and we'll stuff them into the search bars."tyler: "we don't say stuff." janelle: "it's okay in amazon."tyler: "we place them." janelle: "we place them carefully."tyler: "amazon will be okay if you say stuff for the next six months until they say "oh,people are stuffing." janelle: "right now you can still stuff. we'lldelicately place." tyler: "we're going to place them. place themstrategically. we're going to strategically place them."cory: "buy your non gluten-intolerant stuff in this stuff right now."janelle: "we don't want to hurt your belly."

tyler: "i like gluten. i'm a fan."janelle: "whole wheat pancakes, right there. check it out, 14,800. that would be your keyword. make a cookbook on whole wheat pancakes, cookbook man. that'd be so awesome, recipes, whole wheat pancake recipes." tyler: "whole grain bread, 10,000 searchesa month." cory: "low competition."janelle: "love it, love it." tyler: "whole grain foods 10,000."janelle: "sprouted grain, whole wheat. now we're talking."tyler: "there's people looking for stuff here, sprouted grain bread."janelle: "and whole wheat, so see people are like me. we still like wheat. we only carryaround an extra 10-15 pounds. that's okay, to

eat the staff of life. i look amazing. i meancome on. okay, let's go..." tyler: "wheat bread recipe, where do you wantto go?" janelle: "let's go back to the site now. okay,so that's just an example. i got stuck on the whole wheat bread, but let's check outtheir whisper mill, or the wheat grinder, i mean they've got everything you need tomake whole wheat bread." cory: "knead."janelle: "knead, oh my goodness. kitchen kneads." tyler: "that's why their logo is what it is."janelle: "yah, kitchen kneads, you know because you knead bread. you knead it."tyler: "right and you need the stuff." cory: "you need these things for your kitchen."cory/tyler: "it's a play on words."

janelle: "i knew that."(laughter) tyler: "i want a solar oven is what i want."janelle: "then just get a solar oven. oh, that is a problem."tyler: "it's a good thing we're redoing their website. we'll show you their new websitewhen we're done with it." janelle: "it's going to look awesome. i haveone of the apple corers. my kids eat so many apples because of it."tyler: "really?" janelle: "then they shoestring the lalala."cory: "that's because yah, it's obnoxious to eat an apple."janelle: "it's so fun. yah, so you know what's crazy guys? i went to amazon and bought that.if you want i'll login to my account i'll

show you. i bought it three weeks ago becausewe broke ours. i didn't even think to go to kitchen kneads, my client."tyler: "because you go to amazon." janelle: "because i go to amazon, if theywould have keyword ranked that, they would be the number one listing, and you know howmany they could sell of those a month?" tyler: "i don't know, how ever many peopleare searching for it i imagine." janelle: exactly, and i always do a ten percentconversion rule, so when i see the search volume or the page views within amazon orthe best seller rank...let me show them that." janelle: "do you care if i take back overthe controls?" tyler: "no, you can drive."janelle: "let's do that. let's go into the

apple corer. check this out, just becauseit's something i bought recently. i buy everything on amazon...love, just kidding."cory: "love." tyler: "you love amazon and you buy it onamazon too." janelle: "oh they don't even have, i guessthese are technically apple corers, but i wonder what i searched, because this is notwhat pulled up, oh, there it is, the victorio. this is like the lamborghini of apple corers."cory: "wow, it looks fancy." janelle: "so i clicked on it and look..."tyler: "suction based. i'm not a fan." janelle: "1,200 reviews. you don't have touse the suction base. it's optional." cory: "you don't like suction bases?"tyler: "no, i'm a clamp base kind of guy.

give me a good c-clamp and clamp it on."janelle: "this ones cheaper. i'm not going to do dis on them too bad, but you know what,it broke. so spend a little extra and get victorio pro. let me tell you, while werein amazon, some things to look for, social proof is huge. you know, if you're not onthe first page of amazon, you're pretty much not existing, just like in google, if you'renot the first page of google, even above the fold, you can kiss your website and life good-bye."tyler: "you just throw away your life because you're not on the first page of google?"janelle: "indeed." tyler: "i better see if i'm on the first pageof google then because." janelle: "tyler seamons. let's go see. wecan't afford for tyler to die so we should

have performed his operation."janelle: "ah there he is, wahoo!" tyler: "i don't have to die. life continues."janelle: "i wonder if i'm, we should, always google yourself."cory: "it's important to see." janelle: "a handsome guy. okay, let's go backto, let's get back on track here. you know what i would do to? sponsored ads, becausei want to be above the fold. nobody's running, you know..."tyler: "do you want me to unblock the ads?" janelle: "you can unblock your amazon ads?yah we need to. let's do that. nice, there we go. look at that, they have these. so iwould want my apple corer to be right up top here too, if i'm not above the fold. that'sa strategy for when your keyword ranking.

everything on here's..."tyler: "are those expensive?" janelle: "apple corers? oh no, no, sponsoredads? well, it depends on your, you know, the product and the keywords you're going after, but no. if you do your sponsor..." tyler: "how do they compare it to like thestandard adwords clicks?" janelle: "oh, no cheaper for sure. you knowwhat's cool though? there self reinforcing because you should break even or profit allday long on your sponsored ads. if not, you've got a terrible listing and we can increaseyour conversion rates. your conversion rates all have to with your social proof and yourproduct listings. a good product listing, let's like click into this right here. i cantell you. right here a huge social proof."

cory: "they've got 1200 reviews and 4.5 stars."janelle: "1200 reviews." tyler: "click over that."janelle: "right here?" cory: "it tells a story doesn't it?"janelle: "yah, it really does." tyler: "there's not a lot of negative reviews."janelle: "nope and you know prime, that's huge on amazon. if you're not shipping inprime, you're going to have to have a better price. you're going to have to have somethingto entice people, because paying for shipping really stinks. so we click on this and wecan tell you what an optimized listing looks like. we would have your keywords in here.now they have an apple peeler. well i was looking for an apple corer and guess what?i was looking for this. so that's a problem.

you know you can add, you can have up to 200characters in your title line? people don't use them."tyler: "they've got core apples from that second bullet."cory: "hand, peel, slice, core apples." janelle: "that's right. it'll pull from righthere. thank you tyler for pointing that out. all of these, your listing title, your bulletpoints, and your product description are all where an algorithm for what we call your amazonseo is going to get read from. so you want to be optimizing all of those places for yourkeywords alright? so in here we can see genuine victorio kitchen product, ships only fromthe united states and canada. i guess that's important if you're looking to not buy onemade in china."

tyler: "you know what's funny about you sayingthat, that's actually an important point because i've bought stuff that i didn't know was gettingshipped from china because it wasn't clear in the listing and then i would cancel itbecause i'm like i'm not going to wait six weeks, just for a ten cent cheaper product."cory: "right." janelle: "well and look, right here is whereyou want to use your best copy. this is a pretty great copy. you've got your five yearwarranty. that's good stuff here. do you know though, here you can have up to 150 characterseach bullet point. so you really take advantage of that. use your best sales copy to tellthese people all about your product, because guess what, people think, oh well we'll getit down here in the product description, but

a lot of people don't even scroll down andread this. then look, you get up to 2000 characters in your product description. why would younot? it's html rich, you can be bolding things. you can do paragraphs. let me show you a newlisting of ours, just to give you an example. we do a lot of amazon strategy. i'd like tosay we're very good at it. but let me check out, let me show you some new optimized listingshere. see how we've used the title to get our key words in? okay, you'll see some ofthe key words we're going for. if you scroll down, the bullet points, they're keyword richand if you go down to the product description, how we're calling things out. see how thatpops for you? then we're collecting reviews, right? so we can get our social proof. greatfive star reviews. but i just want you to

see the difference on that html-rich description.that's huge. you use your keywords there. look, all of there beautiful products thereonline, showing up in the search results. if you go type in, you know, best hydrolyzedwhey protein, which has actually had a ton of search volume, you'll get your progenixto pull up with those key words. that was the whole plan, but back to the apple corer.i think i've pointed out enough things. one thing on an optimized listing, you get upto seven images in amazon. we've got four here. they should tell a story, like look.there it is. it's a better angle, now yes, i love how their showing you how it works.that's a great picture. yah that's great. yah you can see and look, everything shouldbe 1000x1000 so you can make it bigger."

cory: "now show me how the corer works. howdo you pull the core out." tyler: "i want to see an after picture."janelle: "you know what? kids, like biting into the apple or doing the shoestring thing, that would be really, really cool. and you know what it doesn't show? these apples comeoff sliced, in like these, like see this pineapple thing right here? they come out like that.they come out like an accordion. why are they not showing that? that's why your kids willeat them." tyler: "it's true."janelle: "they'll sit there and be like...so you know this listing, as much as they'redoing well on their social proof, it really could use our help. i'm actually going toreach out to these people. they need us. they

could sell a whole lot more, they could beon a front page and..." tyler: "above the fold."janelle: "above the fold, they'd be selling tons. so anyhow. those are just a few thingson amazon." tyler: "so what are we going to do about kitchenkneads?" janelle: "okay, what's super exciting aboutkitchen kneads? thanks for getting me back on track. i forget. i can get into amazonand just go off. but see, all their products, they've only got a few products right nowon amazon, but we've told them, why would you only have a few products? get all of theproducts on amazon, every single one. that is sales right, that we can generate for thesepeople and the new site, why we love wordpress,

is we can integrate amazon with their existingwoocommerce cart. we can push and sync products back and forth from both platforms. so theinventory that they have here, because right now let me tell you what kitchen kneads isdoing. they're managing sales and inventory inside the site, right here. then in theiramazon store, they don't call it kitchen kneads, their store, so it's actually kind of hardto find them, but i could pull up their store. they're actually having a whole other employeefulfill and manage their amazon listings and their fulfillment. so what we're really excitedto help them out with is the integration of both platforms. so if somebody purchases onamazon that order will come through to their website. it'll be a wordpress site, and itwill get fulfilled the same way they fulfill

orders from their website. the cool thingnow is when someone ships, when they ship from amazon, they'll have an insert in therethat tells the client to come back next time and shop at their website, with a coupon,or free shipping next time, or what have you. because you all know that amazon charges, you know, about 15 percent when you use them to sell your product, so you don't want torely solely on amazon, at least our strategy, kickfire we do some retail. the first purchasei'm okay with it being on amazon, but if they're going to come back, i want them to purchasethrough my website, because i don't really enjoy paying amazon fees. so have a strategy.let us help you create one. i'm doing a lot of talking so i'm going to shut up now."cory: "that was perfect."

janelle: "did you like that? i've got more.i've got way more than that." cory: "i know, let's save it for another month."janelle: "save it for another month. okay, you guys come back for more amazon, or hitme up because it's kind of like i like to geek out about amazon. we'll show their newsite. we'll show you what we've done and what we're doing for them. it's going to be superexciting." tyler: "so tune in."janelle: "tune in." tyler: "...to see the upgrade of the kitchenkneads website." janelle: "and i should ask if we can showthem progenix's stuff. maybe we'll get permission and do one on that, because it's pretty excitingamazon and woocommerce syncing integration.

so cool, we love you guys. thanks for watching us.i don't think anybody else does so." tyler: "thank you all six of you."cory: "i hope your pants are on fire." tyler: "just figuratively."janelle: "not literally. okay, let's go eat some apples. were done!"
