harriet: yeah! franklin: okay. (drumming) yeah! now, just join inwhen you're ready, everybody. (rhythmic thumps) (giggles) (chuckles)wow! okay! wow! that is brilliant! that was pretty good. who knew we weresuch great drummers?

i did! aunt t:drumming really comes to life when everyone addstheir own special beat. mr. turtle:uh, what do you mean by special beat, sis? ah, just a beatthat makes you happy - one that's special to you. it can be anything. you can imitate somethingyou hear, or just make something up.

okay, you go first,big brother. well, all right.here goes! (random thumps) oh, that's a good one. (chuckles) it reminds meof that drip under the kitchen sink. (laughs) i can't seem to get itout of my head! (giggle) okay, harriet,you're next.

just play whatevercomes to you! (giggles) okay! (quick thumps) aunt t:wow! fantastic beat, harriet! did you just make that up? it's me! i'm running to the sandboxand i pick up lilly kitty, and then i run backto the house and get a juice to drink,

and then i give lilly kittysome too. (giggles) oh! i have a beat! (fast, rhythmic thumps) harriet: oooh... great beat, mom!what is it? one of my favourite sounds - the beat of my little girl laughing! mr. turtle:awww... aunt t:okay, franklin,your turn.

all right. (sporadic thumps) hmm. no... that's not right. let me try again. no, no, too slow. hey!that sounds like mine! franklin:i guess it does. (awkward laugh)this is harder than i thought! well, you still havea couple of days

to think about it,franklin, but now it's gettingpretty late. mrs. turtle:bedtime for all tired turtles. harriet:(yawns) (crickets chirp) franklin: (sighs) hey, franklin, how's it going? okay, but i can't findmy special beat, aunt t. oh, not to worry,you'll find one!

yeah, you're right. nice beat, but not a special beat. hmm... how's this? (thumps) no... oh, maybe this? (clinking taps) uh...nope. let's try...maybe... uh...

(deep sounding thumps) no, that's not it either. hmm... morning, harriet! harriet:morning, franklin.(chuckles) mrs. turtle:(humming to herself)huh? (light tapping thumps) (dull thumps,dishes clink) (chuckles)what are you doing, franklin?

i know exactlywhat you mean. it took me a long timeto find a really good beat. a long time? but the drum circleis on saturday! this saturday? oh my word! thank you for reminding me. i have to practice. (sighs) me, too.

(thumping really fast) beaver:now that is a great beat! where did you get it,rabbit? i can't help myself. it's a rabbit thing. (everyone combinestheir special beats) beaver:woo-hoo! listen to us! rabbit:go! go! go! goose:feel the beat!

beaver:wow! franklin,you're a really good drummer! franklin:thanks. goose:you did all of our beats! rabbit:let's hear yours, franklin! (hesitates)um...okay. um... actually, i haven't found my special beat yet. but you have to have a beatat a drum circle - everybody knows that! (gasps)

i mean...you'll find one, franklin. i hope so. rabbit:just keep trying! (sighs) yeah. see you tomorrow. beaver: bye, franklin!rabbit: bye, bye, bye! goose: see ya! hi, mr. mole. (whispers)hello, franklin. (whispers)what are you doing?

(whispers)i'm listening. a-ha! i knew it! can you hear it? there's something wrongwith my train. i don't hear anything. well, you have to listenvery carefully, but... i was right!one of the wheels is loose. wow!you could hear that? yes! you'd be surprisedwhat you can hear

if you listen carefully. that should do it. let's give it a listen. (train chugs and whistles) mr. mole:oh, that sounds much better! franklin:hey, that's a reallyinteresting beat. mr. mole, i've got somelistening to do! yes, off you go then,franklin! bye!

mr. owl: ooh yeah!bear: cool! beaver: amazing!snail: great! all right, who hasn'thad a chance to drum their "special beat" yet? oh! me!can i try, aunt t? all right, kiddo.let's hear what you've got! oh okay. (drumming the rhythmof his heartbeat) bear: great beat, franklin!dad: nice, son!

mom: wonderful, sweetie!beaver: wow! all:awesome! wow!wow, franklin! wow! where did youget that beat? it's the soundof my heartbeat. i heard it through harriet'sstethoscope. franklin, that is a wonderful beat! hey! play it again,and we can all join in! okay! (plays heartbeat rhythm)

all:(cheering and laughing) aunt t:that's the way! (cheering and laughing) (buzzing) huh?hi, mrs. periwinkle! harriet: hi, mrs. periwinkle! helloooo! franklin: wow! did you see that?! she's waving back at uswith the wing of her plane!

i'm gonna wave, too! helllooo! (plane engine rumbles) harriet:(excited squeals) yay! franklin: (laughing)harriet: wow! boy, harriet, i hope i can flya plane someday. you can fly now,franklin. look!

vroom-vroom!vroom-vroom! hey... you just gave mea great idea! i bet i can make my own plane and fly it around woodland, just like mrs. periwinkle. harriet:whoosh...vroom-vroom...(giggles) franklin:it doesn't look likea plane yet, but it will. harriet:oooooh...

come on,let's get started. (grunts of effort) (tape rips) (sighs) perfect! (groans) ta-da-a-a! wow! (gasp)

(wind gusts) harriet:oh no! uh-oh! i guess i can't buildthis by myself, harriet, i need help. fox:sweet plans, franklin. rabbit:yeah, did you draw themyourself? franklin:i sure did... but i'm sort of having troublebuilding it on my own.

do you think you guyscould help me? beaver:help build a plane?! that sounds like fun!i'm in! fox:sure. rabbit and ican scavenge stuff from my dad's junkyard! rabbit:yeah, yeah, yeah! really?! coolio!thanks. sweet. bear:i can do the heavy-lifting.

we beavers are greatat building things, so making the body of the planewill be a snap for me! i'm a good colour mixer,so i can paint it! i've been in mrs. periwinkle's plane lots of times, so i know what the cockpit looks like. i can help you build that! it'll even have real dials! all:wow! oooooh... sweeeet!

rabbit:let's do it! thanks, you guys!you're the best! i can't wait to have a planeand fly all over woodland! let's meet back here first thing tomorrow! all: okay. cool! franklin:okay, everyone... i guess we should start with the main body of the plane, and... huh?(giggles) bear:this is so exciting!

(grunts) fox: hold on, bear.rabbit: we can help! great! snail:neato! (humming) looking good! awesome! and these straps are goingto make flying the plane super easy!

they were my idea! and so was the back seatfor the co-pilot! franklin:i'm going to take itfor a spin. all:go! go! yeah! vroom! (cheering) i was so excited thinkingabout flying last night that i made up a new gamefor us to play! what is it?

well, first i thoughtit would be fun to fly all over woodland, but then i thought, why not fly all overthe world?! bear:that's a great idea. beaver: is it ever!goose: it sure is. snail:yeah! can't wait. beaver:how does the game work? franklin:everybody can play an animal

who livesin a faraway place. like maybe snail could bea lion on the savannah! a lion?! neat!(roars) i've always wanted to visitmy relatives up north, so i can be a polar bearin the arctic! ooh! and i'll bea mountain goat! i want to be an armadillo. we'll be twin dolphins. (imitate dolphins)

what kind of animal are you going to be, franklin? franklin:i'll be the pilot who fliesthe plane around the world visiting all his faraway friends! bear:good idea! okay, everyone spread out and grab a spot for your animal home! fox:come on, let's go! (franklin imitates the sound of a plane) goose:here he comes.

franklin:pilot franklincoming in for a visit. oh, hello, franklin! would you like to eatsome ants with me? num, num, num... what are they doing? i guess franklin's visitingthe armadillo. oh, look,he's flying off again! that was a quick visit. it's been fun visiting,

but i have other animalsto meet, so bye-bye,gotta fly! so soon? but what do i dountil you come back? whatever armadillos do! armadillos make good pilots,by the way! so whenever you're readyto switch let me know, okay? (imitates the sound of a plane engine) welcome to our tropical island.

come in the water,it's super warm! yeah! it's perfect for turtles and dolphins like us! great idea!i love swimming! (makes plane engine sounds) what do you thinkthey're doing? beaver:it looks likethey're swimming. goose:maybe we can fly the planewhile they're doing that. good idea!

i'll ask franklin if we can. hey, pilot franklin! can we fly the plane while you're visitingthe dolphins? but you're too far awayin a different country. plus, i'm about to take offanyway! beaver and goose:oh. franklin:bye-bye! gotta fly! (mimics the sound of a plane taking off)

fox:well, what do we do now? franklin:keep swimming, i guess. but maybe we can flywith you. two dolphins in the plane? there's no way you could both fit! fox:we'll take turns! rabbit:or we could fly while you stay here and swim! (imitates plane engine sounds) snail:down here, pilot franklin.

franklin:coming into the savannah,mr. lion! snail:great! i can't waitto show you around. (roars) (yawns)this is taking forever. (yawns) snail:i spend most of my day roaring! beaver:hey, dolphins!i'm bored! can i come overfor a swim? fox:that's a great idea!

rabbit:yeah! beaver:c'mon! let's go! goose:can mountain goats swim? rabbit:they can now! hey, look! (chuckles)the polar bear is napping! should we gowake him up? goose: yeah!rabbit: definitely! beaver:let's tickle him!

(laughing) franklin:well, i gotta go - lots of animalsto visit. hey, can you fly meto the arctic? what? a lion in the arctic?why? because it looks likesomething really fun is going on over there. huh? all:coochie coo! wakey wakey!(giggling)

franklin:okay! let's go see.come on. franklin:hey, guys! what's going on? goose:we decided to wake upthe sleeping polar bear. i was bored so i fell asleep. but how can i practice flyingall around the world if you guys are all in one place? your game wasn't very fun,franklin. all we were doingwas waiting for you to come and visit.

fox:yeah, and you wouldn'tlet us be the pilot. franklin:but i want to practice flying. beaver:well, if you don't wantto let us take turns being the pilot, then we don't wantto play your game. all:yeah! exactly.i agree. rabbit:we're going to havean animal party, instead. (cheering)woo-hoo! party! sorry, franklin.

oh, okay. you want to stayin the arctic with us, mr. lion? definitely!roaar! franklin:well, uh, i guess i'll practiceflying by myself then. all:okay. have fun!bye, buddy! franklin:bye, guys. hey! mrs. periwinkle:heelll-ooo!

franklin: hi, mrs. periwinkle! hey, wait up. look, i've got a planenow too! your plane looks terrific! did you build it yourself? sure did... well, with snail and the rest of the gang. well, where are they? they're not flyingaround with you?

franklin:we were playing an awesome game, but then they decided to playsomething else instead. mrs. periwinkle:oh... mrs. periwinkle, can you watchsome of my moves and give me tips on how to be a real pilot? i'd love to, but i promisedto take mrs. snail for a ride. franklin: are you gonna do tricks? i'd love to watchand learn!

mrs. periwinkle:oh no, i only do thosewhen i have time. right now i'm going to helpmrs. snail with some errands. franklin:maybe after that? when you're doingreal pilot stuff? mrs. periwinkle: real pilot stuff? this is real pilot stuff! i'm taking some overhead photosof mr. fox's new invention, and then i'm watering your aunt t's rooftop garden. franklin:wow! i thought you would spendall day doing tricks -

that's what i would doif i was a real pilot! mrs. periwinkle:doing tricks is fun, but being a pilot also means sharing my plane with people who need help. you see, mr. fox helped buildthis plane. your aunt t decorated my cockpit. mrs. snail always packs a snack for our rides... it seems like everyonein woodland helps me to keep it in the air.

so, in a lot of ways,my plane is everyone's plane! i never thought of itthat way. everyone's plane... that sounds like a lot more fun than flying by yourself. (rotors start) mrs. periwinkle:it is! well, have fun with your plane, franklin! see you in the skies!

exactly! i want to go for a vacationin the mountains! franklin:all right! let's do it! all: yeah! i'm going to be a tree-climbing monkey. (gibbers like a monkey) why don't you be the pilotfor a while, beaver? no way! i want to bethe first armadillo to travel to the jungle!

you pilot, rabbit! okay, cool! can you show me how to doa wing wave, mr. monkey? sure thing! fly on over. beaver:i see the jungle! fox:i wanna be the pilot next this is gonna be fun!
